18 YEARS AS A PUBLIC TIPSTER

Back in December 2006 I chanced upon a website called OLBG who were running daily tipping challenges & decided to give it a go. Always a follower of racing but I had not followed the sport for over 8 years but almost immediately I realised I had a knack for tipping decent priced winners. Despite it being my first look at racing for over 8 years I was top tipster on the site which had 30,000 members at the time

3 months later the site ran a winner takes all tipping competition at Cheltenham. 999 people entered & i was lucky enough to win

A month later they decided to repeat the competition at Aintree & this time 1,600 entered & again I won.

Then in June the 3rd competition was at Royal Ascot & 900 entered & somehow I yet again won. The odds of winning all 3 were over a billion to 1.

After that I was inundated with offers to go pro but I declined as I had just found out we were expecting twins to go alongside our 1 year old & needed security of a 9-5 job. Finally I agreed to team up with Roger Bush, who now operates as West Country Racing, who was a hugely respected tipster on the site & elsewhere & would run our site. The Tipping Legends were born in early 2008

The first year was mind-blowing with an unrivalled run of form including many big priced winners including Bulwark at 66/1 in the Chester Cup & 3 days where multiples were landed making many subscribers life changing moments. See our testimonials page for some of the many letters I received.

Since those early days I have gone solo & continue to refine my focus areas to ensure profits remain to a desired level.

My main focus now is the flat handicaps with a specific interest in staying handicaps.

I'm still true to my original loves & tip on the bigger NH races & especially the big festivals where I have always done well with the huge value flying around

My average price I tip at is almost 9/1 & have had many many winners at big odds over the years. I am proud to still have quite a few members who joined me way back in 2008

Basics of the Service

I tip on a 1-5 pt basis with the average being just over 2.5 pts per bet

My average odds are around 8-1 so we do get losing runs meaning I would recommend a 200 point bank as a minimum if you can.

My main areas are the flat handicaps, often focused on those races 12f+

I no longer send texts so you will need email access to receive the tips

Tips are usually sent out by 1pm at the latest but often before.

You will receive a message each day so on a no bet day, then I would state no bet

I try to quote attainable prices so will only quote if at least 2 bookies show that price

I average approx 2 or 3 bets per day over a month but can be quite lumpy with 2 or 3 no bet days followed by 5 or 6 on a Saturday
